Applications Open: Stone Centre MA Fellowship Program

The Stone Centre on Wealth and Income Inequality is thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the 2025/26 MA Fellowship Program.

Each Masters Fellow will receive $15,000 in fellowship funding for up to one year, along with a $2,000 research stipend. This additional stipend is designed to support research activities, including data collection, analysis, or travel to conferences, enabling students to engage deeply with their studies.

To be eligible, applicants must be entering their first year of UBC’s Master of Arts in Economics program. While enrolment in the program does not need to be confirmed at the time of application, funding is contingent upon admission. Applicants should express their interest in the fellowship within their application for the MA in Economics program. In their statement of interest, they should clearly articulate how their research interest or intended research aligns with the Stone Centre’s mission to explore wealth and income inequality.

This fellowship is an opportunity to join a dynamic community committed to advancing the understanding of economic inequality through rigorous research. If you’re passionate about tackling one of today’s most pressing economic challenges, we encourage you to apply and become part of this important work.
