He will present his paper, “Gender Inequality Within and Across Households in the UK, 1978 to 2019”, co-authored with Blundell, Karjalainen, and Lechene.

Krishna Pendakur is a Professor of Economics at Simon Fraser University, whose research focuses on the measurement of well-being, poverty, discrimination, and economic inequality. His work also explores consumer demand estimation and advancements in semi-parametric and non-parametric econometrics. Guided by a commitment to addressing economic disparities, his work seeks to improve the lives of disadvantaged populations and promote equitable resource distribution. He also contributed to faculty governance as Vice President of the Simon Fraser University Faculty Association (SFUFA) from 2017 to 2019 and as a member of the Bargaining Team from 2019 to 2021, advocating for faculty interests and advancing institutional policies.
